How to recycle an old polybag by opening the polybag and then pouring hot water to kill pests and diseases
-prevent unwanted weeds from growing around the soil.
-helps improve soil texture.
8.00am-9.00am
Madam Dr Idayu give an explanation about fertilization :
Why apply fertilizer here? Because trees need nutrients. The three main sources of fertilizer are nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium.
-Three ways of sowing fertilizer are broktask, which is sowing mechanically; topgrass, which is fertilizer on the grass; and sidegrass, which is sowing around the trees. then the band must make shallow left and right trenches.
-folia, that is, put fertilizer by spray.
Fertilization :
1.direct-nitrogen
2.compound-nitrogen and posporus
3.complet
flush with water so that the fertilizer dissolves quickly. If the fertilizer is excessive, the tree will burn.
1.mannual
2.sprinkle
3.drip irrigation
4.capalary poke in the ground.
9.00am-10.00am
Students move to the lemon plot for a fertilizing session.
If adding nitrogen to your soil is something you're looking for from a cover crop, legumes or legume mixes are worth considering. Legumes are known for their nitrogen fixation, where nearly two-thirds of the nitrogen fixed by legumes can be used by the following crops: but can also cause an increase in soil microbes, which help break down the carbon-rich forage left over from the latter year. Legumes are also a viable choice for cover crops because of their ability to increase soil organic matter, recycle nutrients, and break down the presence of weeds and diseases after grass-type crops.
Students were asked to stand up to sing my country's song, UITM's vision, and the planters' song.
7.50 am
Organic fertilizer is usually made from plant or animal waste, like manure or compost. They can also be highly processed products with a compost or manure base.
Advantages of fertilizer?
Water-soluble and can easily dissolve in the soil.
1. Soil Structure
Because of the organic matter present in organic fertilizer, soil structure is improved, and as a result, the soil’s ability to hold onto water and nutrients increases.
2. Reduce fertilizers and pesticides.
Although organic fertilizer can be more costly than synthetic, it can reduce the need for pesticides and the overall nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium requirements. Because of the reductions, organic fertilizer can be cost-neutral and sometimes cost-saving.
8.am
Students move to the nursery to learn how to propagate with the lecturer.
8.15 am - 10.00am
- Germination
- Plant development
- Fertilization
- Seed Production
Asexual Reproduction: When and Why?
- Plants do not naturally reproduce asexually.
- Plants reproduce asexually when there are no partners nearby or when they are damaged
The lecturer taught how to budding on rubber trees by budging the rubber skin.
budding results on rubber trees
Cutting at Tunera
cut the trunk of the tree to do the cutting process.
Dip the stems of the tunera in the powder, then plant in a polybag.
Budding
-is inserting a single bud from a desirable plant into an opening in the bark of a compatible rootstock to create an advantageous variety (cultivar) and rootstock combination.
Cutting
-is a plant section originating from the stem, leaf, or root and capable of developing into a new plant. The cutting is usually placed in warm, moist sand.
7.50 am -8.00 am
8.00 am-10.00 am
Mr. taught students how to use a frond trimming machine to speed up the pruning process.

Representatives from Semester 3 explained what they did last week, which was harvest.
Harvest is the operation of gathering the useful part or parts of the plant.
8.00AM
Students move to pick up a hoe to start weeding the pineapple plot.
Students started weeding together from classes A to D.
After weeding the pineapple plot, the students were asked to wash the hoes to be stored in the store and take them home.
